WHAT MUST i DO EVERY DAY AS A CANDIDATE? 

If you are processing to be a NYPD officer you must check your email everyday.

When you appeared at the Candidate Assessment Division you signed a form giving the NYPD permission to contact you by email.

You can receive a Character Disqualification email from APDAdmin@nypd.org

All civil service exams set to expire between March 2021 and December 2021 are extended one year. For more information regarding these exam extensions please click on link below:

The only way to get a re-interview is by appealing your NYPD psychological NOPD within 30 days.

Candidates who fail to provide requested documents during the application process for police officer will have their file marked discontinued.  There is no appeal from a discontinued status.

Candidates that receive a NOPD or Notice of Proposed Disqualification have thirty (30) days to appeal their disqualification.
