There is some confusion amongst candidates about whether they must appeal a NYPD psychological review Notice of Proposed Disqualification (NOPD).
To clarify, YES, you must appeal a psychological disqualification at the NOPD stage or your appeal will be dismissed.
The Psychological Assessment section file may only be reviewed by a licensed health care
If you receive a Psychological Notice of Proposed Disqualification (NOPD) from the NYPD, you have 30 days to decide whether you would like to appeal.
If you do not take action, the disqualification will most likely affect your chances of ever being hired by other law enforcement agencies.
The good news is that the NYPD
The NYC Civil Service Commission has posted on their website that they are operating at an alternate site due to COVID-19.
You may email them rather than attempting an in-person visit regarding your NOPD or NOD in connection with your NYPD Psych DQ or NYPD Psych Review.
